Abstract

The Synsepalum Dulcificum plant species, also known as the Miracle Fruit, has been used traditionally for centuries for its medicinal properties. This plant species is known to have various pharmacological properties that can be used to protect the heart muscle. Myocardial protection is of great importance in both heart diseases and cardiovascular surgery. This article discusses the pharmacological properties of S Dulcificum and its potential therapeutic benefits for myocardial protection.

It is stated that the S Dulcificum plant species has the potential to protect the myocardium and prevent myocardial infarction. Extracts of the leaves contain lycopene, which has a protective effect against cancer. It also contains polyphenols with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It has been stated that this type of herb can be used to prevent the accumulation of cancer-causing agents in the body and also reduce the risk of heart disease. Additionally, it may support the activity of antioxidant enzymes and block the action of fibrinolytic inhibitors, thus reducing the risk of heart damage. Additionally, S Dulcificum can protect the myocardium through the phytosynthesis of AgNPs, depending on its concentration.

Overall, this article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the pharmacological properties of S Dulcificum and its potential therapeutic benefits for myocardial protection. Thus, we think that this article will contribute to the existing literature on the use of natural products for medical purposes and can be a source of in vivo and in vitro studies on myocardial protection, especially in cardiovascular surgery.
